In a letter to the Director, Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Director, RGH, Rourkela and the CDM & PHOs of 30 Districts, Pandit said that the Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day (VHSND) and Immunization sessions shall be suspended in that concerned sub-centre area for 4 weeks if COVID-I9 positive cases arise.
The letter said as the World Health Organization (WHO) has already declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic, therefore, the lockdown has been imposed in the state to break the chain of coronavirus.
The VHSND and Immunization sessions must be conducted by maintaining social distancing and mobilization of beneficiaries in a staggered manner, the letter advised.
