Bhubaneswar: Coronavirus vaccination will not be conducted in 12 districts of the state on Thursday. However, vaccination will be conducted in 18 districts spreading over 302 centres.
The State has now a stock of 1,19,220 doses of Covishield. The stock of Covaxin is 3,46,440. This dose of coronavirus is being given to the people of Bhubaneswar.
The districts in which Covid vaccination has been suspended due to shortage of doses are Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Khordha (barring BMC region), Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Puri.
The vaccination was done in 469 centres in which 43,853 persons had taken the dose. Out of these centres, people were vaccinated Covaxin in 61 centres.
According to health department, 336 health personnel had taken the first dose on Wednesday, 287 got the second dose. Similarly, 1855 frontline Covid Warriors were vaccinated on Wednesday. The second dose was given to 436 frontline Covid Warriors.
As many as 22, 475 above 45 years of age took the first dose while 18,464 persons availed the second dose of coronavirus. By Wednesday, 57,48,769 persons were vaccinated. Out of this, 3,23,731 health workers had taken the first dose and 2,72,226 took the second dose.
The health department sources said that 2,12,358 frontline warriors took the first dose, second dose of coronavirus vaccine was taken by 1,59,129 persons. Persons above 45 years old numbering 42,89,323 took the first dose of the vaccine while second dose was taken by 4,92,02.
