Bhubaneswar: Utkalika successfully launched its own e-commerce website i.e. www.utkalikaodisha.in. Now people can order Handicrafts & Handloom items of Odisha from the above website and through the Utkalika App. by using Google play store.
Minister of State Smt. Padmini Dian, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts, Govt. of Odisha launched the service through virtual mode in Google Meet.
Exclusive Handicrafts items like Pattachitra of Raghurajpur, Tribal jewellery, Odishi jewellery along with Sambalpuri and Pattachitra saree are available now with the website. In near future different types of Handicrafts & Handloom items will also be available.
Pandemic COVID-19 has led to a dramatic loss to human life worldwide’. Like all other sectors, the economic disruption caused by the pandemic on Handloom and Handicrafts artisans is devastating which placed millions of livelihood at risk. So, Odisha State Co-operative Handicrafts Corporation Ltd.
Utkalika. an apex co-operative society working under the Administrative control of Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Dept, decided that it is high time to prater online marketing over conventional marketing’.

HT&H Department, Sanatan Nayah Director, Handicrafts & Cottage Industries, Odisha, Smt. Swayamprava Muduli, Managing Director, OSCHC Ltd, (Utkalika) were present in the virtual inaugural function. Smt. Rasmi Rekha, H.P.O., Smt. Padmini Mishra, H.P.O., Sri Pritish Ku. Behera, H.P.O. and staff of Utkalika were also present in the virtual inaugural function.
