UP 12th Intermediate Board Exams 2021 Cancelled


Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh state government on Thursday cancelled the UP 12th Intermediate Board Exams 2021 in view of the COVID crisis.

Uttar Pradesh Government under CM Yogi Adityanath has welcomed the decision of Centre to cancel the board examinations for CBSE Class 12 students.

The intermediate exam has earlier been deferred till mid-July. Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma had said that the board exam will be held if the Covid-19 situation improves further.

“Keeping in mind the future of students and the importance of class 12 marks for them, the examinations have been proposed for the second week of July if circumstances are conducive,” Sharma said earlier.

“To maintain social distance among students, the number of examination centres have been increased,” the minister said, adding a total of 26,10,316 students have registered themselves for the class 12 board examination in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Exams 2021 were cancelled. Announcing the decision, PM Modi shared that the safety of the students cannot be ignored. He also stated that no student should be forced to appear for the examination in such circumstances and hoped for sensitivity from all stakeholders.
