Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visits PDP Plant of Kochi refinery in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram/Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has paid a visit to PDP Plant of Kochi refinery in Kerala on Saturday. The Union Minister is on a two-day tour of the state.
His visit comes a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state. PM Modi is scheduled to dedicate the Refinery to the nation on Sunday. The plant is built at a cost of Rs 6000 crore.
Reports said the project will boost the petrochemical industries in the downstream sector. This plant will produce high-quality petrochemicals which will save foreign exchange worth Rs 4000 cr.
Pradhan hoped that Kerala will progress rapidly with the initiation of developmental activities by the Centre.
