UK’s new immigration rules to end EU freedom of movement

London: UK’s new immigration rules are likely to end freedom of movement of European Union (EU) nationals to be effective from January 1, 2021.

UK Home Secretary Priti Patel has unveiled plans for a post-Brexit immigration system for the UK.

Media reports said Patel unveiled a 130-page document outlining new the immigration rules following the country’s departure from the EU after almost 50 years of membership.

The new rules will determine who will be allowed into the UK and who will be refused access.

The Home Office said the new points-based system will be a fair system, treating people from every part of the world equally.

People applying to work in Britain will also need a level of English language to support integration.
