Mumbai: Facing rebellion within his party, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has left the chief minister’s residence. He will move back to Matoshree.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has said that party chief Uddhav Thackeray will not resign as the chief minister of Maharashtra.

“If need be, we will prove the majority on the floor of the houses,” Sanjay Raut said on the rebellion within the party.

“We had meetings with Nana Patole and Sharad Pawar as well. Uddhav Thackeray remains as the leader of Maha Vikas Aghadi,” Sanjay Raut said.

The political crisis in Maharashtra is deepening with each passing day and the future of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government looks bleak.

Despite being the larger party among the three coalition members, it was Shiv Sena which could not keep its flock together.
