Two Patients Undergoing Treatment For COVID-19 Die Of Other Health Issues In Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Two persons, who were undergoing treatment for deadly coronavirus, died today due to other health complications, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department.

Out of the two deceased, one is a 72-year man from Balasore district while another is identified as 42-year male of Khordha district.

The 72-year male was suffering from blood cancer and other chronic ailments. He had tested positive for coronavirus. However, he succumbed to his chronic ailments, said the H&FW Department.

As per the death audit report, the cause of death is chronic myelogenous leukemia, it added.

The other deceased, a 42-year male of Khordha district, was suffering from chronic liver disease and Hepatitis B. He was admitted to COVID hospital after being tested positive for the virus.

As per the death audit report, the cause of death is decompensated liver disease with Hepatitis B.
