Two migrant labourers from Odisha were found dead on the railway tracks near Chennai.
The deceased have been identified as Umesh Pandey, 24, and Kunu Banchhor, 25. Both hailed from Hatisalapada, located under the Town Police station in Bolangir district.
As per reports, Umesh and Kunu had travelled to Tamil Nadu for work on January 1st.
Today, the railway police contacted their family members at a railway station near Chennai and informed them that two bodies had been recovered. The identities of the deceased were confirmed through Aadhaar cards and photographs. The families of the victims allege that the two young men were murdered. As of now, labour department officials have not reached out to the grieving families.
