Sambalpur: The dam authorities on Sunday closed two more sluice gates of the reservoir in order to maintain the water level in the dam.
Currently, the excess water is being discharged through six sluice gates.
As per the latest report, the water level stood at 628.04 feet against the total capacity of 630 feet at 6 AM today. Earlier, the dam authorities had opened the sluice gate of the reservoir following incessant rain in the upper catchment area.
Notably, on Saturday, the water level at Rengali dam was recorded 123.17 metre against the total reservoir capacity level of 123.50 metre.
