Ganjam: Two female labourers were killed and three injured following a landslide during road construction in the Digapahandi area of the Ganjam district on Sunday.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, the incident took place this afternoon when as many as five labourers were busy working in construction work
Suddenly a landslide took place and all five trapped inside the debris.
On being informed by the locals, fire personal rushed to the spot and rescued three of them but could not save two women. The two workers died at a hospital.
