Mayurbhanj: In a tragic incident, two persons died after a truck rammed into a scooter on NH-18 near Palbani bypass of Baripada town, Mayurbhanj district on Monday.
According to reports, the cargo truck driver lost control of the speeding vehicle while descending from the overbridge at midnight, running over the scooter driver and pillion coming from the wrong side.
Deceased persons are yet to be identified.
Following the accident, the movement of vehicles on the national highway was halted for some time.
