Cuttack: Police claimed to have busted two gambling dens in separate raids amid lockdown in the silver city, Cuttack.
Acting on reliable input, police conducted a raid at Jobra area and arrested at least 11 persons from there. However, two managed to escape from the spot.
The arrestees have been identified as Krushna Rao (43), K Rajkumar (35), Ashok Behera (36), Santosh Rout (32), Chabindra Rout (40), Gopal Krushna Swain (60), Sheik Khalia (51), Sheikh Shifabul (34), Bhagwan Behera (51), Basanta Panda (44), and Pradeep Kahali (38).
The Cops also seized around Rs4.5 lakhs and four bikes during the raid.
Similarly, Madhupatna police have arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in the illegal activity. The arrestee has been identified as Kunna Reddy, Jaykrushna Jena, and Manas Dehury from the locality.
Following this, a case has been registered and the accused has been forwarded to court.
