Dhenkanal: A tusker died after coming in contact with an electrically charged fence installed for trapping wild boar at Asarada forest under Hindol range.
Reportedly, 11-KV Galvanized Iron (GI) wires were placed in the forest for poaching boar and other wild animals. The elephant died after coming in contact with the live wire.
On being informed, Forest officials reached the spot and started an investigation in this regard.
