Trump Hid From Protests In Underground Bunker: Reports

Washington: President Donald Trump was reportedly taken by the Secret Service to an underground bunker beneath the White House as protesters gathered outside the White House, reports suggested.

The President was there for a little under an hour before being brought upstairs.

After hundreds of people surged towards the White House on Friday, Secret Service and the United States Park Police officers sought to block them.

It is, however, unclear if Melania Trump and Barron Trump were also taken down with him.

Trump praised the Secret Service the next day for its handling of the protests outside the White House Friday night in the wake of George Floyd’s death last week in Minneapolis.

Demonstrators across the United States have been protesting since May 25, when George Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man, died under police custody in the city of Minneapolis.
