Treat Your Sweet Tooth With Brownie Waffles

New Delhi: Brownie waffles are an epic dessert or treat! Topped with creamy vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup and whatever other toppings you like!

Ingredients

  • 85 g unsalted butter (¾ stick)
  • 50 g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • ⅔ cup granulated white sugar
  • ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temp
  • ⅓ cup whole milk
  • 98 g plain (all-purp) flour (¾ cup)
  • 45 g cocoa (½ cup)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron on the medium setting.
  2. Place the butter and chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high in 20-second increments, stirring well between each, until just melted.
  3. Add both sugars, eggs and milk and whisk together until combined.
  4. Sift in the flour, cocoa and salt and mix until just combined.
  5. Spray the waffle iron with oil spray, then pour the batter in until it just hides the waffle iron squares (see notes)
  6. Close the waffle iron and cook for 6 minutes before gently prying away from the sides and serving.
