Bhubaneswar: 27th State Level Training on National Children’s Science Congress- 2019, Odisha was successfully organised and hosted by Doon International School in its school premises at Bhubaneswar today. The theme of the program was Science, Technology and Innovation for a clean, green and healthy nation.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. R. N. Ray, Chairman of NCSC, Odisha, with lighting of the divine lamp. Principal of Doon International School, Mr Arun Kumar Pati, who is also the Academic Coordinator of NCSC, delivered his welcome speech. Prof Ashish Ku Mohanty, Academic Coordinator of NCSC introduced the Guests on the dais to the audience, who were mostly teachers of different schools of BBSR and Cuttack.
After release of the Project Book-2018, Dr. Ray spoke on the occasion stressing on accessibility and equity. He insisted on regular organisation of such a program and encouraged participation at national and international level. Mrs. Kavita Ray, Chief Coordinator of NCSC, Odisha expressed her gratitude to the organizers and the Management of the school for organizing such an important event.
Prof Sunil Kumar Rath, joint coordinator of NCSC, extended vote of thanks to the Principal, the Vice Principal and all the teachers who were part of the Training Program. Praising the Chairman for his incessant effort and achievement in this connection, he said, “This is a Movement that can take National Science Congress to greater heights.” He also inspired Mrs Ray tagging her as “Champion of Women’s cause” and the School Principal Mr Pati as “The right man in the right place.”
Mr. Satya Brata Swain, the Organising Secretary and Mr. Sarat Chandra Routray, Chairman of Doon International School, were among the members present on the occasion.
