Toddler Abducted From Bhubaneswar Slum Rescued From Mayurbhanj; 2 Nabbed

Bhubaneswar: A three-year-old child, who was allegedly kidnapped from Bhubaneswar on June 27, has been successfully rescued from the Bahalda bus stand in the Mayurbhanj district.

Commisionerate police has also nabbed the kidnappers who have been identified as a couple living in a rented house in Salia Sahi.

According to reports, the toddler, who lives with his widow and mentally disabled mother in Bhubaneswar’s Salia Sahi, was kidnapped on June 27, following which a missing complaint was filed at the Nayapalli police station.

The Nayapalli police had then launched a search operation and today found the kid along with the kidnappers at the Bahalda bus stand.

As per police reports, the accused couple had kidnapped the 3-year-old boy as they had a daughter and wanted to have a son.

Notably, in the last month, as many as 11 cases of kidnapping of children have been registered in Bhubaneswar. The Commissionerate Police has launched several search operations and investigations to find the children who have been kidnapped.
