The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed an unruly scene for the third straight day of the monsoon session today after opposition MPs staged protests over several issues including the pegasus report.
In the Rajya Sabha, a TMC member snatched IT minister Ashwani Vaishnaw’s statement on the Pegasus spyware row, tore it and flung it into the air.
As Vaishnaw was forced to cut short his statement on Pegasus snooping controversy amid uproar by the opposition members, he laid a copy of it on the table of the House.
TMC member Santanu Sen snatched what appeared to be copies of the statement from Vaishnaw’s hands and tore it into pieces. Sen was heard saying “This is unacceptable”.
Both Houses of Parliament have been adjourned till tomorrow as MPs gathered into the Wells of the House, raising slogans and holding placards.
