TikTok supports India Plog Run, launches #IAmlessPlastic

New Delhi: In order to spread awareness about plastic pollution and encourage a plastic-free lifestyle, popular short-term video app, TikTok, has collaborated with India Plog Run 2019 campaign.

TikTok has launched hashtag #IAmLessPlastic, an in-app challenge, inviting users to join India’s biggest movement against plastic pollution.

Through short videos on TikTok, users can share how they can make their neighbourhood clean and free of plastic, in the most easy and unique way, with the larger TikTok community.

On October 2, citizens across 50 cities in India will come together to do their bit in creating awareness about plastic pollution as part of the first-ever India Plog Run 2019.

It started as an organised activity in Sweden around 2016 and spread to other countries in 2018, following increased concern about plastic pollution. As a workout, it provides variation in body movements by adding bending, squatting and stretching to the main action of running, hiking, or walking.
