Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has the Collectors of 15 districts take steps for preparedness as the IMD has issued thunderstorm with lighting warning till May 15.
As per the IMD’s midday weather bulletin issued today, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Koraput, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Ganjam and Nabarangpur from 8.30 am of 14th May to 8.30 am of 15th May, 2021.
Taking note of the yellow warning issued by the IMD for these districts, the Collectors have been asked to circulate the warning message among the public.
The Odisha SRC asked the District Collectors to closely monitor the situation and take action in case of any eventuality.
