Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here has issued thunderstorm and lightning alert for several districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, “Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and also Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nawarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kalahandi today.”
Similarly, over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, and Angul, added the IMD.
