Puri: Three students of Baladia village, lost their lives as they drowned in the Devi river on Tuesday in Puri district.
The deceased students were identified as Rohan Behera, Om Behera and Kanha Behera. Rohan studied in class VIII, Kanha in class IX and Om was in class X.
On Tuesday, these three students went to take a bath in the Devi river. As they didn’t return home on time, their worried family members began searching for them. Their clothes were found in a boat near the river. With the help of villagers, a search was conducted and tragically, the bodies of the three students were discovered floating in the water.
They were initially rescued and taken to the Astrang Community Health Centre (CHC) and later to the Charichak CHC where the doctor declared them dead.
