Three security personnel taken ill in Sundargarh following vaccination

Sundergarh: Three security personnel including a woman of Sundergarh district headquarters hospital were taken ill following COVID-19 vaccination on day 1 (Saturday).

They are Dubraj Rana, Manas Karali and Rajkumari Oram. All were hospitalized for immediate treatment. Dubraj said he was vaccinated Covaxin on January 16. He went to his house on that day after the completion of his duty at the hospital.

Dubraj said he developed fever and felt as if he is going through paralytic stroke on the left side. Rajkumari Oram also became ill after taking the vaccine. Manas also developed high fever and was immediately hospitalized.

Chief District Medical Officer of Sundergarh, Saroj Kumar Mishra, said the coronavirus vaccine has no side effects and added that catching fever is nothing unusual after being vaccinated.

All the security personnel were fine and there is no cause of panic, he added.
