Three Poachers Held For Setting Forest On Fire To Hunt Animals

Keonjhar: Three poachers were arrested by the forest department officials while attempting to hunt down animals after setting the forest on fire.

The incident has been reported from Jharabeda reserve forest area in Keonjhar district.

The accused have been identified as Jugal Juanga, Gobardhhan Juanga and Raju Juanga of Namkani village.

Receiving a tip-off about the illegal activity, forest officials reached the spot and caught the accused trio setting the forest patch on fire in a bid to trap and hunt down animals.

Despite coming under attack, the patrolling party managed to capture the miscreants and confiscate their weapons.

Following this, the accused were immediately apprehended and taken into custody for questioning.
