Three Including Former Odisha MP’s Son Killed As Car Falls Into Canal In Cuttack


Cuttack: At least three persons were killed in a road mishap after a car in which they were travelling in lost control and fell into a roadside canal near Telengapentha on National Highway (NH) 16 on Saturday morning.

Two of the three deceased have been identified as Ankur Pradhan, son of the Sambalpur ex-MP and one Goutam Das.

According to sources, the incident took place at around 3 AM today while the trio was heading to Bhubaneswar from Jagatpur area in Cuttack when the driver lost control over the wheels following which the four-wheeler skidded off the road and fell into a roadside canal.

The trio died on the spot under the impact of the accident.

On being informed, Cuttack Sadar police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Cops also seized the vehicle.

Police have also launched an investigation into the matter, sources said.
