Mississippi: A mass shooting in the US state of Mississippi, resulted in at least three fatalities and 16 injuries. The event occurred in Indianola, where an individual began shooting near a nightclub.
Police were dispatched to the shooting site shortly thereafter. Indianola Police Chief Ronald Sampson was quoted by a local newspaper saying, “Several people reported that while they were outside, they began to hear gunfire.”
Mayor Ken Featherstone stated that the police have not yet determined the motive, and no arrests have been made about the incident.
According to the report, witnesses heard numerous gunshots, and some victims were directly hit. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
