Puri: A tent house owner was allegedly killed by DJ worker in Bedapur village under Gop block in Puri district late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Papu Pradhan of Erabanga village.
According to reports, the incident took place while a heated argument erupted between the tent house owner and DJ owner during a marriage procession after the tent cloth tore after coming in contact with the music DJ vehicle.
Following this, the argument later escalated and the DJ worker killed the tent house owner in an enraged state of mind.
On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. However, the accused DJ worker has absconded from the crime spot. A manhunt has been initiated to apprehend him, police said.
Meanwhile, the locals of Erabanga village have staged a road blockade on the Pipili-Konark road in Begunia.
