Temple trust seeks IITs’ help for better models of Ram Temple
New Delhi: The IITs have been requested for better models for the foundation of Ram temple as Sarayu river stream is flowing beneath it.
Sources said the Ram Temple trust in Ayodhya has requested the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to this effect.
Former principal secretary to the prime minister Nripendra Misra held deliberations with the temple trust members over the matter here on the issue.
Sources said that the existing model for the foundation of the Ram temple was not feasible as the stream of Sarayu river is flowing under it.
The construction committee of the temple trust has been deliberating on two options, using vibro stone columns to support rafts on which stones can be placed, and the other is improving the quality and grip of soil by adding engineering mix to it. The Ram Temple is scheduled for completion in 2023.
