Jagatsinghpur: In another incident of violence, a tehsildar was allegedly attacked by a youth in an inebriated condition at Japa Chhak under Ersama police limits in Jagatsinghpur district.
As per available information, the attack took place when the local tehsildar, Choudhury Pranjananda Dash had visited Japa market place to raid some shops which were opened in violation of lockdown restrictions when the drunken youth came before the vehicle and allegedly attacked him.
Later, the officer lodged a complaint at Ersama police station following which police registered a case and started investigation.
The accused has been detained and being questioned.
