Teacher held for violating COVID-19 lockdown norms


Kendrapara: Police have arrested a school teacher in Rajnagar block of Kendrapara district for violating norms of the COVID-19 lockdown.

According to sources, Kalpataru Parida of Balarampur Upper Primary School in Kurunti Panchayat in Rajnagar block was giving tuition to as many as 80 students at one place this morning. On receiving information, police reached and arrested the teacher from the spot.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, the state Government has restricted congregation of more than seven persons at one place besides announcing closure of all educational institutions and private tuitions/coaching classes across the state.
