Bhubaneswar: Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has issued a threat to disrupt the ongoing All India DGsP/IGsP Conference 2024 in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar.
Pannun has allegedly sent an audio and a threat email to a journalist in Bhubaneswar. In the purported audio message, it has been warned not to fly from Bhubaneswar International Airport on December 1 as it will be a D-day.
“Hindu Terrorist Modi Has Turned Bhubaneswar Into A Terror City. Do Not Fly To and From Biju Patnaik Airport on December 1. Khalistan Naxals, Maoists, Kashmiri fighters TARGET DGP Terror Conference, Lok Seva Bhawan, RAISE KHALISTAN Flag, REWARD Rs. 25 Lakh. Pro Khalistan Sikhs Are READY To Die For Freedom of Punjab, Indian Police Chiefs Are You Willing To Sacrifice Your Life To Defend The Territorial Integrity of India ?,” the threat e-mail read.
The e-mail has been sent to journalist Akshaya Sahoo, who has reportedly informed the matter to senior officials of Commissionerate Police.
“I have been working with an international media and they might have sent the email to me. I was surprised to see the e-mail in which D-day has been written. It seems as a threat mail. As the caption is in Odia, it appears that it should not be taken seriously as some locals might be hand-in gloves. I have spoken with Commissionerate Police Commissioner and will formally lodge a complaint,” said journalist Sahoo.
Sahoo further said as the message has been sent to a local media house with Odia caption on it and terming PM as terrorist, it is suspected that some local people might be working in coordination.
