Agra: The Agra administration is likely to hike the entry ticket prices for both domestic and foreign tourists, reports said.
The entry fee for Indian tourists is Rs 50. They will now have to pay Rs 80 from now onwards. The foreign tourists will have to shell out Rs 1200 instead of Rs 1100 to enter the monument.
Reports said the Agra District Administration will also charge Rs 200 from tourists who wish to enter the main dome of Taj Mahal.
With the new charges in place, domestic tourists wishing to enter the main dome will have to pay Rs. 480, while foreign tourists will be charged Rs. 1600.
Tourists said excessive fees hike will adversely affect Indian tourists who will be deprived of seeing their own heritage.
