Berhampur: A 38-year-old man, suspected to be a patient of novel coronavirus infection, was found hanging from the window of the hospital’s washroom late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Muni (38) of Akalpur village under Bargarh police station limits.
According to available information, Rajendra was admitted to MKCG after he developed a respiratory problem. There was no improvement in his health condition for the last three days.
Reportedly, Rajendra had gone to the washroom at around 2:30 pm and didn’t come back till 3:00 pm. Following this, his brother-in-law called the security guard as the door was closed from inside. They broke open the door and found him hanging from the window of the washroom.
On receiving information police reached the spot and initiated an investigation after sending the body for post-mortem.
