Meanwhile, Sushant’s suicide case is under investigation, and statements of several people have been recorded. A day back, Sanjana Sanghi, Sushant’s Dil Bechara co-star also was interrogated by the police about her rumoured tiff with him. Sushant’s Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra and rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty also recorded their statements.
Sushant was found dead in his apartment on June 14, 2020, and his death sent shockwaves across Bollywood.
It has been alleged that Sushant, an industry “outsider”, faced professional problems due to Bollywood’s prevalent issues of nepotism and favoritism.
Many, including Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, have alleged that the actor faced a boycott from major production banners and he lost some of his films to other stars.
The nepotism debate rekindled post-Sushant’s demise and netizens called out several celebs.
Talking about nepotism, celebrities such as Karan Johar, Ananya Panday, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha among others have faced online bullying. Many celebrities deactivated their Twitter account to avoid negativity while many turned-off comments section on Instagram.
