Students hit streets opposing Board’s decision

Bhubaneswar: The students of Ramadevi Women’s University and Acharya Harihar College today observed a protest demanding revocation of the decision of 33% marks mandatory for promotion to 2nd year.

The Council of Higher Secondary Education’s (CHSE) had announced that Plus-II 1st year students won’t be promoted to 2nd year if they score less than 33% mark in the annual exam.

The Board had also mentioned that if a student fails in the first year exams, s/he will not be promoted to the second year.

The decision has triggered massive protests across the state as students have demanded the Board must immediately revoke the decision.
