Bhubaneswar: The State government would introduce special policies to boost industries already hit hard by the Covid 19 pandemic in the State.
Secretary (5T) VK Pandian on Tuesday assured entrepreneurs, industrial officials of new policies while visiting Khurdha industrial estate. He also directed the Collector and industry department officials to resolve issues of the industrial estate within three months.
Following a direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the 5T secretary visited Khurdha industrial area, food park, IID and Jaymangala industrial area in the district. He also held discussion with the officials of various associations regarding different issues.
The discussion featured traffic management, water and power supply, waste management, hostel facilities for labourers.
Pandian also discussed with young engineers who had left job during the pandemic. He assured them of government cooperation in establishment of small scale industries.
The secretary also emphasized on the appointment of local people in the industries.
