‘Speak Up’ Campaign: Cong Leaders Attack Modi Govt Over Free COVID-19 Vaccination

Bhubaneswar: Hitting out at PM Narendra Modi-led NDA government over the COVID-19 vaccination programme in its ‘Speak Up India’ campaign, Congress on Wednesday said that the Centre has failed to provide anti-Covid vaccine to all citizens.

In a bid to raise public support, the chief and spokespersons of various Pradesh Congress Committees launched the ‘Speak Up India’ campaign on social media.

Touring party leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Odisha Congress chief Niranjan Pattnaik, Maharashtra INC President Nana Patole, and Uttar Pradesh Congress Secretary B.P. Singh have slammed the Modi government in their video messages.

The Party leaders and workers have put out messages through their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube accounts.

“Vaccinate as much as people of the country soon. Modi Ji…stop making excuses and fulfill the responsibility which has been given to you by the people of India,” Rahul Gandhi said in his video.

Speaking in his video message, President of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Niranjan Patnaik said, “The Modi govt made big promises to the Indian people. But have failed to give vaccinations free to save the lives of people. We demand free vaccination against Corona should be given to each & every citizen of India.”

“The Prime Minister has sent the vaccines to foreign countries while our country is reeling under Covid-19 crisis. People of the country had elected the Prime Minister and it is his moral responsibility to protect the citizens of the country from the pandemic,” said B.P. Singh.

Other leaders and workers of the party have also demanded of the Union government to make vaccination free for all and that the Centre should take responsibility for the vaccination process.
