Bhubaneswar: Eminent artist and Head of International Curriculum, KiiT International School, Nandita Mishra held a solo exhibition of her paintings in KIIT University from 29th – 30th December, 2019.
Tranquil was Mrs Mishra first independent exhibition. As someone who stumbled into painting three years ago, she has been prolific in the range and volume of work that she has created during this time. Her paintings stand out because they are vibrant and colorful with bold strokes. Her subjects are varied with a predilection for the feminine form as she feels that it is easy for her to connect with her own gender. Nature, birds, and Buddha are also some of her favorite areas. Tranquility is aspirational in the busy humdrum life that we lead, and we can experience it if we are in harmony with nature is something that she tries to communicate with her paintings.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Chairperson of KiiT International School, Dr Mona Lisa Bal; Saswati Bal, President KIIT and KISS also graced the occasion. Founder, KIIT and KISS, Prof Achyuta Samanta congratulated Ms. Mishra for her efforts.
Several dignitaries visited the exhibition including Tarun Kanti Mishra, IAS and writer who has been recently awarded with Sahitya Academy Award, Bibhudutt Basanti, Auditor General Bhubaneswar among others. The exhibits were highly appreciated and the response was overwhelming.
