Solar Eclipse To Be Visible For 31 Minutes In Koraput, 19 Minutes In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The partial solar eclipse which will occur on October 25 will be visible in various parts of India in phased manner.

Parts of Odisha will also witness the rare phenomenon. It will be visible for maximum 30 minutes in Koraput. Residents of Bhubaneswwar can witness the partial eclipse for 19 minutes starting 4.57 pm. The eclipse will start at 4.56 pm in Cuttack.

In Sambalpur, it will be visible at 4.52 pm, as per the weather forecasting agency. Puri will witness it in the afternoon at 4:52:9.

India and a few other places in the world will witness a partial Solar Eclipse or Surya Grahan on October 25.

Most parts of India will also be able to witness the phenomenon, except a few states in the northeast region.

A Solar Eclipse happens when the Moon moves between the Sun and Earth, blocking the light of the Sun and casting a shadow onto Earth.

The partial Solar Eclipse on October 25 will last 1 hour and 45 minutes in India. It will be visible for the longest in Gujarat’s Dwarka and for the shortest time in West Bengal’s Kolkata for only 12 minutes.

A few other cities that will witness the Surya Grahan longer than an hour are New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune, Jaipur, Indore, Thane, Bhopal, Ludhiana, Agra, Chandigarh, Ujjain, Mathura, Porbandar, Gandhinagar, Silvasa, Surat, and Panaji.
