Six newly appointed Odisha Cabinet ministers seek blessings of Lord at Puri Srimandir

Puri: Twenty-one new ministers of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s cabinet have taken oaths of office and secrecy in a glittering ceremony here on Sunday.

For the first time, the swearing-in ceremony was organised at the Lok Seva Bhawan (state secretariat).

After taking over the new duties, six newly appointed cabinet ministers visited Puri Srimandir to seek blessings of the Holy Trinity.

Tukuni Sahu, Pramila Mallick, Pradeep Amat, Atun Sabyasachi Nayak, Prafulla Mallick and Minister of State Srikkanth. Along with them, Anugul MLA Rajnikant Singh also visited the shrine.

“The Lord is our deity. Nothing can happen without him. With the new appointment as minister, I will begin work with the blessings of the Lord. The state government has taken steps to ensure the smooth running of the world-famous declaration,” said Food Supply and Cooperatives Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak.

Praising the ongoing construction of the passenger path for the devotees, Cabinet Minister Prafulla Mallick said that it could come to the benefit of the devotees as soon as possible.

Senior Minister Pradeep Amat said he was “delighted” by the visit.

“With the blessings of the Lord, I will make the state’s labor department active, Labor Minister Srikkanth Sahu said.

“Chief Minister has given priority to women in the state cabinet. What my department has to do for the ride will be done. Everything in the state is done with the blessings of the Lord,” said Water Resources Minister Tukuni Sahu.
