Six Militias held by Ch’garh police, explosives seized

Malkangiri: Chhattisgarh police nabbed at least six Militias from the bordering area of Cherala and seized a cache of explosive materials from their possession.

The arrested militias have been identified as Budra Madhabi, Bhima Madhabi, Suka Madhabi, Kunjam Adama, Jagga Madhabi, and Bhudra Madhabi.

According to sources, a joint team of Chhattisgarh police, CRPF and B-141 battalion conducted a motor-vehicle check in the area following which the forces intercepted the vehicle in which the rebels were travelling with some suspicious articles.

The police team searched the vehicle and recovered the explosive articles. During interrogation, they admitted that they are working as active members of a Maoist organisation of the state.

Around 30 gelatin sticks used as high explosives, three bombs, silk wire bundles, five electronic detonators, and 180 iron rods were seized from their them.
