Six including four patients of Cuttack Cancer Hospital test COVID-19 positive


Cuttack: Six persons including four patients of the Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre in Cuttack tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. A day ago, two nurses here were found infected with the dreaded COVID-19.

Chief district medical officer (CDMO) Satyabrat Chhotray told reporters here that the four patients were undergoing treatment at the hospital. Chhotray said an attendant and a staffer of Aahaar Centre inside the hospital premises were also infected.

The two nurses had contracted coronavirus from a cancer patient of Ganjam district. He was admitted to the emergency ward of the hospital on June 19. The patient tested positive for coronavirus on June 24.
