Cuttack: The Sisu Bhawan in Cuttack is likely to be converted into a dedicated COVID-19 hospital.
District COVID nodal officer Dr Umesh Ray said that a proposal has been made regarding this. However, a final decision on it is yet to be taken, he added.
Odisha today recorded 7,395 new COVID cases, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
Of the fresh cases detected across 30 districts of the State on Sunday, a total of 4,169 cases were reported from quarantine centers, while the rest 3,226 were local transmission cases.
Khurda district topped the number of cases with 1,069 infections in the last 24 hours. This was followed by Cuttack (868), Jajpur (516), Angul (443), Mayurbhanj (384) and Puri (356), said a data shared by the State Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
