Simple Tips To Take Off Stubborn Holi Colours From Skin And Nails

New Delhi: Holi is an extremely joyous and playful festival, However, there is one thing everyone dreads. Well, it is all fun and games till you have to get rid of the colors from your skin, nails, and hair. That battle in the shower is a long one!  here are a few tips to freeing your body of artificial colours after playing holi.

How to remove Holi colours from face

Apply coconut oil on the face before using a face wash. The oil melts the colour from the face and helps the soap to wash away all the excess dirt and grime.

Make a paste of wheat flour with any carrier oil and apply it to the face. Leave it for a few minutes and massage. Then, wash it off with a gentle cleanser.

You can also use multani mitti treatment as it will help dry off the colour and eventually remove it after rinsing.

To remove the itchiness of the skin, apply a combination of glycerine and rosewater.

Use soaked amchur powder and avoid excessively washing your face as it can lead to drying.

How to remove Holi colours from nails

Holi colours can make the nails brittle and dull, therefore, soak your nails in cold water.

After playing Holi, the nails eventually start becoming yellow. To avoid this, you need lemon juice. Soak your nails in lemon juice for 10 minutes.

Apply a coat of transparent nail polish and dunk your fingers into a bowl of lukewarm water. Add a few drops of almond oil and the colour will slowly come off easily.

Before you step out to play Holi, apply a coat of dark nail polish. Dark nails do not allow the colour to stick to the nails.
