Washington: The Sikh community staying in the United States of America has expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Kartarpur corridor in Punjab.

They said the Sikh Diaspora in the US are thankful to Narendra Modi and his government for realising the long-cherished dream of Sikhs in India.

The ‘Sikhs of America’ organization, in a resolution addressed to the prime minister, said Sikhs across the globe are looking forward to the much-anticipated pilgrimage.

Reports said the copy of the resolution was presented to senior officials of the Indian Embassy here at an event. The event was organised by Sikhs of America in the Maryland suburb of Washington.

It is worthwhile to mention here that  the corridor will connect Darbar Sahib in Pakistan’s Kartarpur, the final resting place of Guru Nanak.
