Shutdown imposed in two villages of Dakhinabad GP in Bhadrak


Bhadrak: The sarpanch of Dakhinabad gram panchayat (GP) under Bhandaripokhari block in Bhadrak district has imposed shutdown in two villages under the GP till 6 AM of July 15 (Wednesday).

Besides, the Bhandaripokhari market has been declared shutdown during the period. However, all the government offices will remain open.

The decision was taken after a person, who is currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, tested COVID-19 positive.

“The shutdown has been imposed to prevent the spread of the virus in the locality as the family members of the COVID infected person had visited the local markets and other places,” informed the sarpanch.

Moreover, the sarpanch has declared Banasahi of Uttarbad village as a containment zone for 14 days.
