Shortage of beds puts patients, relatives in despair in Indore

Indore: Sharp surge in the number of COVID-19 cases here has left desperate relatives running from pillar to post in search for a bed.

Ambulances with patients were seen lining up outside hospitals. The relatives alleged that they waited for hours but the hospital was busy doing the formalities.

Beds are available and patients are dying, alleged a number of patients at a hospital. Two COVID-19 patients had died in an ambulance outside the Super Specialty Hospital in Indore on Friday. Their relatives have alleged that their cries for medical aid fell on deaf ears.

The Health Minister of the State, Vishwas Sarang, however said , there will be absolutely no problem relating to beds and medical supplies.

Worthwhile to mention that Madhya Pradesh is among the top ten states that account for over 84 per cent of the daily cases.
