Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha were experiencing incessant rains for the last two days and the conditions will continue to prevail today.
Due to a well-marked low pressure-turned-depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal off West Bengal and north Odisha coast, several places in Odisha have been battered by torrential rains.
Several districts like Ganjam, Puri, Bargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur and Deogarh are likely to receive rainfall today.
Meanwhile, heavy rains pounded several parts of the state, including the Twin Cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, over the last two days.
The fishermen are advised not to venture into sea in Odisha coast as the sea condition would be moderate to rough and height of sea waves might increase.
