Sero Survey Begins In Gajapati’s Paralakhemundi


Paralakhemundi: To determine the prevalence of the coronavirus infection among people in Paralakhemundi town of Gajapati district, the administration here has begun the serological survey from today.

A 15-member team from ICMR-Regional Medical Research Center (RMRC), Bhubaneswar has been engaged to accompany the health officials and municipality staff there in the survey.

In the first phase, 50 samples each will be collected from 20 localities in the town.

Meanwhile, the district administration thanked the locals for extending support to the survey. Collector Anupam Saha today visited all swab collection centres to take stock.

Besides, samples of around 500 frontline warriors engaged in the COVID-19 battle will be collected for the survey, said the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO).
